So, in the UK, from the 24th July, it will be a requirement to wear a mask while shopping. Due to my anxiety, I’ve spent this week ‘practising’ mask-wearing at home so I will be more comfortable wearing them while out and about. After a while, the backs of my ears were getting sore from wearing them – those who wear masks all day at work have my sympathies here! This how I ended up making this ear saver pattern.
These allow you to attach the straps to these buttons rather than your ears, making it much more comfortable to wear. I have also made the pattern available to all for free, both on my blog and on Ravelry. If using this pattern, please check the copyright info at the bottom of this page!
You can keep the ear saver plain, or add the appliqué to the middle for extra style! I was initially aiming for a flower, but it ended up looking more like a star, so I went with that.
This ear saver pattern is suitable for beginners and measures 95mm x 25mm. You can adjust the length by changing the number of chains your start with.
